There will be signs at the school indicating where you can park your non parade vehicle.

Parking in the area is extremely limited.

Please car pool, use transit or have someone drop off your participants rather than bringing an additional car. Thank you!

Float riders and parade walkers enter the school through the main doors.

Arrange to meet your group inside the school.

When it is time to queue up for the parade we ask that you go as a group to your designated area.

Signage will direct you and volunteers will be available to assist.

The parade committee is committed to everyone having an enjoyable experience. A big part of having a great time is to ensure that everyone remains safe. With this in mind… safety is the parade committee’s number one priority.

The parade committee and all involved will do what we can regarding creating a safe parade environment but we all need to play a part.

It is essential that you appoint people within your group who will watch out for your team members, especially if you have children participating. Keep in mind it will be dark and there will be people & vehicles moving about from parade setup to completion.

Additional safety measures will be discussed at orientation.

The last day to register an entry for the parade is Saturday, November 23, 2024.

However, the parade committee would be very grateful to receive your entry as early as possible. Thank you!

Ideally, the payment is due at the completion of your registration. If that is not possible, please submit your payment no later than November 23, 2024.

The Parade Committee will be forever grateful to have all registrations and payments complete as soon as possible because it really assists with the planning and completing the administrative side of things. Thanking you in advance!

Together, we are creating a ‘Christmas’ themed parade for our community. With this in mind, we ask that all participants design an entry that displays a holiday feel. This isn’t the place to express controversial views. The Christmas parade committee has the right to refuse an entry.

We require one person as a main contact and therefore require a way to reach you if needed.

The orientation session provides an opportunity to share information that can sometimes be challenging to full convey on the website or in an email. Most importantly, it is an opportunity to get all of your questions answered and even learn from other participant’s questions and comments.

Attending an orientation is mandatory, because among other topics, there will be important safety information that all participants must be fully aware of in order to participate in the Christmas Parade.

The parade begins and ends at Chilliwack Secondary School, 46363 Yale Road, Chilliwack, B.C.

Parade starts at 5:30 p.m.

The main parade contact will be provided with ‘specific arrival time’ prior to parade day. The main contact is responsible for communicating that information to float riders and others in their group.

Floats, motorized vehicles and participants are required to be ‘in place’ on their float or in the parade lineup and ready to roll by 5:00 pm

Float riders and parade walkers, please arrange to meet your group inside the school.  Enter through the main Chilliwack Secondary School doors.

When it is time to queue up for the parade we ask that you go ‘as a group’ to your designated area.  Signage will direct you and volunteers will ba available to assist.

The role of the Marshalling Crew is to help you & your organization get into position for the parade.

The Marshalling Crew will be wearing safety vests.

Please feel free to email us at projectmanager@chilliwackchristmasparade.ca and the Project Manager will get back to you as quickly as possible.
